On 25 May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in the UK.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
The GDPR introduces stricter requirements on how NHS Tayside handles personal data (ie information that can be used to identify a living individual, whether directly or indirectly – for example: names, addresses, and CHI numbers). The introduction of GDPR provides NHS Tayside with the opportunity to further strengthen the way personal data is protected.
